PM Modi Bihar Projects 2025 Brief Insight (1)

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on May 30, 2025, launched a massive wave of development in Karakat, Bihar, unveiling and laying the foundation stone for projects worth ₹48,520 crore. The announcement underscores the government’s commitment to building robust infrastructure, boosting regional development, and reinforcing national security through decisive action such as Operation Sindoor.

Operation Sindoor and India’s Message to the World

Speaking at the event, PM Modi invoked the spirit of national security, referencing the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam and the swift retaliation carried out by Indian forces. “Those who sat in Pakistan and destroyed the Sindoor of our sisters, our army turned their hideouts into ruins,” he declared. The Prime Minister stressed that Operation Sindoor was more than a military strike — it was India’s message to enemies, both within and outside the border.

He added that the power of Sindoor, a symbol of Indian womanhood, was demonstrated to the world and to those who sheltered terrorists under state protection.

Development and Defence Go Hand in Hand

The Prime Minister reminded the audience that Bihar is the land of Veer Kunwar Singh, known for its bravery and patriotism. Thousands of Bihari youth serve in the Indian Army and BSF. PM Modi honored BSF Sub-Inspector Imtiaz, martyred on May 10, reaffirming that the BSF remains India’s unbreakable shield.

He also emphasized that the bravery shown in Operation Sindoor was just one glimpse of India’s capabilities, asserting, “Our fight is not just across the borders but also against domestic threats like Maoism.”

Eradicating Maoist Violence: A New Era for Bihar

The Prime Minister recounted Bihar’s journey from a Naxal-affected region to a development-focused state. Once plagued by violence, Sasaram, Kaimur, and adjoining districts now enjoy enhanced security and governance. He noted:

  • Pre-2014: Over 125 districts in India were Maoist-affected
  • Today: That number has dropped to just 18

PM Modi assured that Maoist violence will soon be history, replaced by peace, education, employment, and connectivity.
